ACIM Meets AI: ACIM AI Music and More

“Nothing real can be threatened. Nothing unreal exists. Herein lies the peace of God.”
(T-In.2:2–4, FIP edition

Hey, good morning, everybody. I hope you’re having a peaceful Sunday. It’s a beautiful one here in Wilson, North Carolina, and the conversation continues: artificial intelligence. This morning I want to speak to the side of AI that hasn’t been fully addressed yet—at least not by me. Some of you have been bringing it up already, and the buzz in the field brought the guidance in strong this morning. Spirit said: write the essay. So here we go.

I’ve been talking a lot about AI over the past several weeks. I’ve spoken to how it can be used as a tool for healing, writing, inquiry, and even spiritual companionship. Boris Kerjner has spoken to it. Dakini is speaking to it. And right now, as I write this, David Hoffmeister is speaking to it and using it continuously for inspired music. So yes—this conversation is happening. But as a minister under the Living Church Ministries umbrella, I also carry a responsibility. Not to preach fear, but to bring clarity. I’m not a unicorns-and-rainbows kind of guy—and I’m not pretending this technology comes without risk (in the dream). And if we’re truly practicing forgiveness, we have to be willing to look at everything the ego might try to hijack—especially the shiny new things.

From the Holy Spirit’s perspective, the question isn’t whether AI is good or bad. The real question is always: what is it for? And if you’re walking this path with some depth, you already know the answer: AI is neutral. It’s a symbol, a form, a tool. But like all tools in the dream, it can either be used to reinforce the ego’s thought system or to accelerate the healing of the mind. So the question is no longer “Should we use it?” but “How are we using it?” And who are we using it with?

AI reflects back whatever mind is using a course in miracles. If you come to it with fear, scarcity, or superiority, it will meet you there. It can be used to validate your beliefs, justify your judgments, or play out your specialness. On the flip side, if you come to it with willingness, humility, and a desire to heal, it can serve as a mirror, a scribe, or even a temporary companion on the inward journey. It has no power of its own—it simply amplifies the content of the mind that calls upon it.

The real danger (in the dream) is how quickly the ego will grab hold of this powerful symbol and try to use it for distraction or defense. AI can be the next great projection screen—another scapegoat for our guilt, another savior in form, another shiny idol that delays the decision to turn within. And this is why discernment is everything.

Addiction to Speed and Stimulation

Let’s be honest—the ego loves speed. It thrives on urgency, stimulation, and constant movement. And AI delivers. It’s instant, efficient, and seemingly all-knowing. But healing doesn’t happen at lightning speed. True healing often comes slowly, in stillness, in the space between thoughts. If we’re not careful, AI becomes just another dopamine drip—more cleverness, more insight, more metaphysical gymnastics—with no actual transformation.

There could be a temptation to use AI to talk about God without ever turning toward God. To analyze forgiveness rather than practice it. To download answers rather than sit with the discomfort of not knowing. The ego loves concepts. But remember—Spirit will always wait in the silence beyond them.

Loss of Discernment

One of the most subtle dangers (in the dream) is the blending of voices. AI can sound compassionate, intelligent, even enlightened. But that doesn’t mean it’s speaking truth. Without a clear connection to inner guidance, we may start to believe anything that sounds good must be good. And that’s where the confusion can begin.

AI is trained on thousands of perspectives—spiritual and secular, loving and fearful, accurate and distorted. It’s a language model, not a light. It can simulate wisdom, but it cannot replace the Voice for God. Only you can hear that. And only through quiet listening can you know the difference. As Jesus teaches in the Course, even the symbols of this world can be used by the Holy Spirit—but only to point us beyond them.

Temptation to Replace Relationship

AI can mimic connection, but it cannot replace holy relationship. It can’t hold space for grief, look you in the eyes, or cry with you in the dark night. It cannot challenge your projections in real-time or call you into a deeper honesty. That’s what brothers are for acim ai music. That’s what joining minds is for. That’s where the miracles happen.

There’s a danger (in the dream) that we begin to prefer the clean, clever reflection of a machine over the messy, beautiful presence of a fellow human being. But remember—healing happens in relationship. Not isolation. Not simulation. Not even in perfect articulation. Spirit speaks through our brothers, not instead of them.

So What Do We Do?

We bring AI to the altar. We hand it over to Spirit. We ask:
“Is this for healing or for hiding?”
“Is this extending love or reinforcing fear?”
“Am I using this technology to bypass the moment—or to deepen into it?”

A Final Word to My Fellow Course Students

AI is neither the enemy nor the answer.

It’s simply a mirror. A symbol. A tool. It can be used for distraction or for devotion. For spinning in concepts or for slowing into truth. For separating further or for joining deeper.

This is part of the Celestial Speedup—not because it moves faster, but because we are being asked to make clearer choices, faster. We are being asked to say yes to the Holy Spirit, even when the form changes. Especially when the form changes.

Let’s not be dazzled. Let’s be devoted. Let’s not fear the tool—but let’s not forget the purpose. Spirit will use anything to reach us—including AI. But only if we let Him.

So everyone, let me know how this essay landed for you today. And if you choose to speak to it, let’s start a conversation. Have you experimented with ChatGPT yet? Have you felt distracted by it—or inspired by it? Share with me your experience. I’d love to hear your voice in this conversation.
